Merry Christmas, Tuna!

This is Tuna.

Tuna got a new battery. And a new alternator.

Isn't Tuna lucky?

It's like the equivalent of me getting...new jeans. Really expensive new jeans. (Yes, I want new jeans for Christmas. Probably not happening now, thanks to Tuna's break-down. No, I'm totally not bitter. Not that my jeans would cost as much, but every little penny blah blah blah.)

Yes, it could have been worse. Yes, it's a 10 1/2 year old car. No, we don't have a monthly car payment, so I need to count my blessings. But still, Christmastime? I guess I would prefer around tax refund time, so we would actually have the extra money.

Merry Christmas Tuna and stranger in New Jersey...what luck! That stinks.

That means the car is good for a really long time with no more problems right? On the bright side, if there is one, you did have most of your Christmas shopping done. Which is more than I can say for me.

It seems like things like that always happen at the worst time possible. Good Luck!

You know...crappy things just happen around Chrsitmas time. I think its the Lord's way of reminding us to be thankful for what we've got...like a job, or a running car, or a family that truly loves us...

Opposition in all things, right? It's a shame that little bit of eternal truth doesn't take the Christmas Season off.

Here's hoping your hoilday opposition has come and gone and that the rest of you holiday season progesses hitch-free!

Oh, jeez, a battery AND an alternator? I was hoping it was either/or! Dude! That sucks. Yes, horrible things happen at Christmastime. Trials, trials, trials. Aren't we perfected yet?? Because this "trial" thing is getting OLD...

Because cars need Christmas presents too. Our last car got a radiator one year, and the Camry got a new timing belt and water pump a few years back. So far the light has not come back on in the van. So we just keep driving. The mechanic said it wasn't hurting anything unless it comes on again flashing. Maybe it can wait for a Valentine's present...
