Tubby Toast
To set up: lay out as many blankets and pillows as you can find onto the extremely old, super comfortable couch.
Object of the game: to jump as high, as long, and as much as you can onto said pile of blankets.
Play starts when one player jumps lengthwise from the arm of the couch, landing on the blanket pile. Each player continues, not really taking turns. Landing on each other is a definite plus. Staying on the pile is also acceptable. Play persists until it's time to bury one another under the blanket pile. Play ends when the players tire of the game, a player gets hurt, or the players get distracted by some other game/toy.
To win: have a blast, and erupt into fits of laughter.
Origin of the title: no clue, but a fat piece of "tan" bread makes a good game name! I'm raising geniuses!

How funny! That reminds me of silly games we used to make up as kids, like "Fifi and Foofoo," and "The Clapping Game," and the game where we would lie on our backs and push against each others' feet.
Kids are so creative, then they turn into adults and all the creativity is gone. Sad, sad, sad. They always manage to come up with the craziest things.
I remember doing that for hours when we were little... I think it's just the sense of movement they get when they jump and can land painlessly!! I miss being 50 pounds! Life was much less painful and a lot less energy was taken to do fun stuff! My coordination was better then...maybe it's just my center of gravity is shifted at the moment? Anyways... I wish I could jump on the bed and couch again!
i think this couch should become our family heirloom. its the most comfortable, best, funnest thing EVER. i remember making forts with it when i was little, i remember it was the best for sleepovers because if you pull the cushions to the floor they were almost the same height during the teen years, and anytime you needed a good 5 hour nap... somehow this couch possessed the power to let you do so. ode to the super old, semi unfortunate looking couch!!!
So much fun! Ethan was laughing while watching the slide show. He says that he wants to come up and play too. We don't have an old couch that can be jumped on. Erin reminds me that in the show Teletubbies they eat Tubby Toast. Connection? Maybe? Is that show still on TV?
I love your boys! And with you and B as parents, I always assumed you'd have genius children...they can't help it! Any way, hope you are having a FABULOUS week!
